This is the first book I've read by Lee Childs. Although it is not my usual reading material, I had a hard time putting it down once I started. It didn't matter that I was unfamiiar with the main character, Reacher. A pageturner if ever there was one.

This is one of the best stories I have read in Lee Child's series featuring Jack Reacher. The writing is tight and within a couple of pages it has you hooked. You feel like you are on a wild ride with a guy that doesn't miss a thing. I was immediately caught up in this mystery and enjoyed the fact that when I read it, everything that happened seem logical and not forced to make the story work. The characters were fully developed and the plot was fascinating. Not just a "who dunnit?", but also, why and how. I would have liked the bad guys to suffer more (an indication that Lee Child really had me invested in the story). This was one of those books where I started getting anxious as I realized that I was reaching the end. I was definitely caught up in the tension in the story, but my real anxiety came from knowing that I only had pages left of "The Hard Way".

Jack Reacher, retired MP, is hired by a man who will pay him a million dollars to get his wife back. This book has lots of twists and turns and will keep you wanting to read one more chapter. I really enjoyed this book but there again I enjoy all the Jack Reacher books.

The latest in the saga of Jack Reacher. Something of a hero. I have read them all. If you like what is almost a modern-day Superman rescuing damsels and others in distress, I would heartily recommend this series!

This is a very engrossing book. It is fast paced and suspensfull.

Another Jack Reacher book.For those of you who do not know of Reacher, you might say he is supereman without the cape, x-ray vision, and those silly tights.Another excellent read.

Kristen H. (Plot is a bit slow. I found myself falling asleep on more than one occasion, but once things got moving then I couldn't put it down even though the plot was a bit predictable.
