Judy Blume is an excellent author. I was incredibly excited when I saw she had adult novels. I adored her children and young adult books; unfortunately, I found her adult novels to be depressing in stead of hilarious. Well written, but not the "fun" read that I'd been expecting.

A very moving story about how how a young girl's wealthy friend invites her into her family and how it changes her life...well-written, moving novel.

I'm not sure I want to pick up the others. I was disappointed three pages in. This is a depressing book about selfish people fixated on their own desires. If you want a happy ending, avoid this one. If you care about the characters you're reading about, don't be disappointed when you find no one to love in this book.
