This was a new author to me. I'm very impressed with his writing and would compare it to James Patterson's Cross series.

Farfetched and fun. A book you enjoy but don't quite know why when looking back on it. Lee Child's plots and the antics of Jack Reacher seem to grow more over the top with each novel.
3 stars out of 5

This is the fifth book in the "Jack Reacher" series that I have read, and I was NOT disappointed. Every one of the books is a completely separate story; you don't have to read them in order - and although there may be one or two sentences in the entire book that you'll say "oh ya, I remember that from another story" -- it will not at all leave you feeling like you missed something even if this is the first book you've read in the series.
Even though Jack Reacher is the main character, there is excellent character development of the 'supporting players' as well. At the end of every chapter I kept saying "ok I'll just read one more chapter and then put it down". Didn't happen - I just could not put this one down until I was finished with it.

Great story, Reacher's old unit is in trouble. He gathers all of the members that he can find and they begin a search for the other 3 members.
The story is full of twists and turns and surprizes and danger. Reacher is great, back as the commander of his unit from 10 years previously.
They are fighting international terrorists and local traitors. Their lives are in great danger and they have several very close calls.
Reacher is at his best. I really loved this book.

Typical Jack taking names and then killing them. Old crew gets together from army days. You don't mess with the Special Investigators.

Reacher is at his best. One of his old MP group is found in the desert and he geathers the rest to find out who threw him out of a plane, Lee Childs gets better and better.

This was a new author for me...and I love when I strike gold! This book had me totally sucked in, waiting to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the character of Jack Reacher - he reminds me a little bit of one of my all-time favorite television characters, Jack Bauer from "24". I plan to read more of Lee Child's books that include Reacher.

I was disappointed in the last Reacher book I read, however, this one does not disappoint. I read it in two days while still managing to eat, breathe and work. It keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. Reacher is in top form, as well as introducing some of his old comrades in arms. A great exciting read full of Reacher twists and turns.
