The amusing, at times painful, story of a young aspiring novelist's coke-addled journey through the night clubs and publishing houses of Manhattan, circa 1985. The story is sweeter than you'd think, touching on some of the themes of urban isolation found in Brett Eastin Ellis' work, without surrendering to that author's misanthropy.

Awesome book. A bit short, could have explored more with the characters or resolve the ending a bit more, but all in all a spectacular read. And it's a short read to boot, which is nice after a few 800 pagers.
