Book Description:
Meet Hermux Tantamoq, a "truly captivating hero."* Hermux is a mouse who fixes watches by day and spends quiet evenings at home with his pet ladybug. Then his life is forever changed by the appearance of Linka Perflinger, daredevil, aviatrix and adventuress. When she suddenly disappears, Hermux sets out to find her.

What has happened to Ms. Perflinger? Who is the mysterious Dr. Mennus, and how is he connected with Tucka Mertslin, the eccentric cosmetics tycoon? Hermux must be daring and vigilant-tall orders for a small mouse! But he rises to the occasion. And nearly breaks our hearts in the process.

Michael Hoeye's rich and rewarding story-full of action and adventure, kindhearted heroes and dastardly villains-has the wit and grace to make it the must-read of our time.

Very fast paced, funny and intriguing. Hermux Tantamoq is a character I would like to see more of. This book is good for children ages 12 and up. A bit too involved for younger readers, but still a wonderful and inventive story.

The mousedom of this book is so much like humanity you forget they are mice. A normal, quiet mouse guy undergoes some hair-raising adventures.

Hermux Tantamoq. Tucka Mertslin. Terfle (she's Hermux's pampered pet ladybug). The characters in this somewhat quirky book and its sequels have wonderfully inventive names, and wonderful stories to be involved in. I loved the hero, Hermux, who is sweet and sentimental and brave, and the story of his adventures is entertaining for all ages. A good series for a reader who wants something a little different.

If you like fantasy then you'll probably enjoy this book. The characters are mice, moles, beavers, etc. who lead lives repairing watches, flying airplanes and developing beauty lotions. It's an adorable adventure for fantasy lovers.

This is one of those kid's books that adults can enjoy. All age groups will get something out of the story. For me, it harkened back to reading "The Mouse and the Motorcycle".
The writing style is very much like the Jasper Fforde novels.

This is one heck-of-a story.

Watchmaker Hermux Tantamoq is a hardworking mouse who is thanful for ordinary things - donuts, coffee, peaceful evenings at home with his pet ladybug. But his quiet life takes a tramatic turn when Ms Linka Perflinger, dashing daredevil aviatrix and adventuress, bursts into his watch shop, drops off a broken watch, and steals his heart.

Hermux can't wait to see Ms. Perflinger again, but she doesn't return. Instead, a shady-looking rat comes in and demands her watch. Fearing something is amiss, Hermux follows the rat, and soon finds himself in the middle os a dangerous web of deception and intrigue.

Hermux's life is suddenly full of twists and turns and is anything but ordinary. He must be daring, he must be vigilant. And he doesn't know how. But as sure as corn is sweet and cheese goes moldy in the rain, Hermux must rescue Ms. Perflinger and, in the process, find out just what kind of mouse he really is.

You'll love it - mystery! adventure! rescue! abduction! deceit! intrigue! and all with mouses, rats ladybugs - it's fantastic!
