Book Description:
Louis Janda's book is divided into five sections, each containing five tests, under the general headings of "Getting Ahead" (intelligence, work and life experience); "Getting it Together" (Self-esteem and self-image); "Getting Along" (Your interaction and social style); "Getting Together" (Your relationship styles) and "Getting it on" (Your sexuality and intimacy preferences).

How comfortable are you with success? Do you possess above-average intelligence? Who do you believe controls you fate? Are you capable of having an intimate relationship? How well do you really know yourself? Psychologists have spent years trying to help people answer these questions. Now, you can benefit from this research - and uncover your strengths and weaknesses - with this collection of actual personality tests developed by psychologists for professional use. Twenty-five tests cover every aspect of your personality: intelligence, ambition, self-esteem, platonic and romantic relationships, and sexuality. And at the end of each test, expert advice is included that will help you change your life for the better. The personality profile that emerges will give you valuable insight into yourself - and point you in the right direction on your quest for self-improvement.

There was only one intelligence quiz...everything else deals with personality and love...some of the quizzes seem similiar.

How confrotable are you with success? Do you possess above-average intelligence? These questions and more can be answered by taking the tests provide in this book. Uncover your strengths and weaknesses. The book also includes expert advice after each test. This may be what you need to help you change your life forever. I enjoyed taking the tests and finding out about my personality from a different point of view.

With thought provoking questions and real-life ways of change, this book is both insightful and fun. Louis Janda clearly knows his stuff.

A great way to pass time when you're feeling analytical. Fun little tests to help you describe yourself.

Interesting and fun to do these tests. I gained a little insight from some of them. Once was enough though, so time to pass it on.

My DH and I had way too much fun taking these tests.

I was hoping to learn more about myself by taking these tests. The results on some tests are difficult to calculate. THe results do not give you a clear explanation and lacks though provoking information. Was looking for more information about myself not how I score with others that took the tests.

Very disappointing.

This book is a bit outdated, and my friend and I objected to many questions where two choices were presented as opposites instead of appearing as items on a spectrum.

However, it did amuse us for a few hours, and it did give me some insights into personalities to use in my writing.

As the author often reiterates, this is a book to interest and amuse, not to acurately diagnose. Reading it with that advice in mind, it is worth checking out.
