Search - Who Killed What's Her Name? (Peaches Dann, Bk 1)

A quirky murder mystery where the main character has memory problems. I also loved the fact that she is in her 50s. She is just adorable. I enjoyed this book very much.

Peaches Dann is getting older and she forgets things a lot. But that doesn't bother Peaches: she born without a memory. She's taught herself plenty of tricks for remembering the names of the planets and where she put her car keys. But when Peaches discovers her Aunt Nancy's body floating in a fish pond, and suspects that she herself was the intended victim, she must commit the clues to memory -- and find out who committed the deed.

When it comes to murder, Peaches doesn't forgive and forget....

I only read about 1/2 of the book. Just didn't find the characters very interesting. The father is a jerk, and no one else is very memorable, although Peaches is sometimes funny. I felt like I was struggling too hard to keep going.

Very enjoyable cozy.

A new addition to the older-woman-sleuth genre, but there is nothing Miss Marple-like about Peaches. Lots of memory hints included.
