John Sandford's acclaimed PREY novels have plunged teaders into the darkest recesses of the criminal mind. Now his brilliant dective, Lucas Davenport, knows he has met match. For his newest nemesis is more intelligent-more deadly-then he has tracked before. A kidnapper, a violator, a pure, wanton killer who knows more about mind games than Lucas himself.-+

A Lucas Davenport novel. Lucas goes after a mental patient who has kidnapped a mother and 2 daughters. As it says on the cover, "Grip you by the throat thrills, a hell of a ride." Parts of it are intense and you don't want to put it down.

Detective Lucas Davenport knows he has met his match. For his newest nemesis is more intelligent--and more deadly--than any he has tracked before. A kidnapper. A violator. A pure, wanton killer who knows more about mind games than Lucas himself. "His seventh, and best, outing in the acclaimed Prey suspense series."--People.
