Love all these books.
I love all the Eve Dallas books, and this one was no exception. Good book.

I love powerful Lt. Eve Dallas and how the complex New York City crimes are solved. If you don't wanna bite her husband, don't read these books! Nora Robert's best writing is as JD Robb in this "In Death" series of some 30+ stories to date. I collect all of the JD Robb books, but skip the Roberts, whose stories are not as tight as those about Lt. Eve Dallas - ass kicker! If the future of New York is like this, I fear these futuristic killers who are sneaky and complex.

They died with smiles on their faces. Three apparent suicides: a brilliant engineer, an infamous lawyer, and a controversial politician. Three strangers with nothing in common - and no obvious reasons for killing themselves. Police lieutenant Eve Dallas found the deaths suspicious. And her instincts paid off when autopsies revealed small burns on the brains of the victims. Was it a genetic abnormality or a high-tech method of murder? Eve's investigation turned to the provocative world of virtual-reality games - where the same techniques used to create joy and desire could also prompt the mind to become the weapon of its own destruction.

This series just keeps getting better and better, and RAPTURE IN DEATH is no exception.
Now that Eve Dallas and Roarke are finally married, they're enjoying a much needed vacation/honeymoon. But death seems to find Eve no matter where she is, and a different planet is no exception. When one of Roarke's techs ends up dead, from a supposed suicide, Eve starts to wonder if everyting is exactly what it seems.
And when they return to New York, and more prominent people end up dead by their own hand, Dallas has a hard time convincing those around her that their suicides were actually murder.
You won't go wrong with this series, and watching the interaction between newly wed Eve and Roarke is a wonderful thing. The fact that every mystery of every book is also well-developed and all-too-believable is an added bonus!
I'm hooked on the In Death series, even though I think all the profanity and sexual detail is unnecessary. I enjoy the futuristic parts of the stories.
another winner from JD Robb. If you like the other 'In Death' books, you will like this one too!
The usual, mystery, action and lots o' steamy Roarke ;)

#4 In Robert's "In Death" series...
SciFi meets police mystery as mind control machines make happy powerful people commit suicides. Its better than that description sounds, lol - really, a good fast read...where the Evil Mad Scientist isn't revealed until the end, and she gives you a couple of good false leads to follow to maintain the surprise.
As usual, Eve Dallas' hubby Roarke can't help but be involved, because of course, he manufactures some of the machines Lieutenant Dallas finds suspect.
The fourth book in the futuristic thriller "In Death" series by Nora Roberts writing as J.D. Robb and featuring Lt. Eve Dallas as the central character.
