Benny Harper, newly maried to the San Celina Police Chief Gabe Ortiz is off to Kansas to visit his relatives. And of course, she finds a corpse. Good characters, part of a series. Good puzzles.

Benni Harper series. A spirited ex-cowgirl, quilter and folk-art expert. She's got an eye for murderous designs and a talent for piecing together the most complex and cold-blooded crimes.

I love this Benni Harper series. . .great series, love, romance, and mystery all in one.
Stephanie S. (Excellent sequel to Irish Chain where Benni and Gabe get to know each other better and meet Gabe's mother, sisters and old high school friends. Trouble start right away when Benni finds a dead body - an aspiring country western singer. Interesting plot twists and Gabe finally opens up to Benni a bit.
