Benni and Gabe learn more about boundaries in their relationship. Gabe is under intense pressure as the new police chief after one of his dearest friends dies from cancer. Benni tries to get him to open up more which is the hardest thing for him then his son shows up! Great story as usual.

I love all her books. They are a lot, in my opinion, like the Sue Grafton Alphabet books. Nice ready without obvious ending. This book was no exception.
Benni Harper, back from solving a mystery in Kansas, is jogging through the part when she finds the corpse of the local library story teller, still clad in her Mother Goose costume, facedown at the edge of a lack. This myster takes Beeni into the Storyteller's Guild and a good crime.
Great book. I lovew this series. Can't wait to read the rest. I recommend it to others.
