Another, I couldn't put it down book. Great

One of the better ones in a long time in this series. Complex. Well worth reading.

Amateur sleuth China Bayles is a former lawyer who now runs an herb shop and keeps getting involved in solving local murders. In this one, a retired Texas Ranger is found dead, shot by his wife's gun.

This series just keeps getting better! I really felt that China has made a LOT of progress in her life, and relationship with McQuaid. Great plot twists and turns- hard to put down!

I thought this one was just OK. It got a little confusing at times with the "Ranger" stuff and I found myself annoyed with China about 3/4 of the book.

This series is set in the scenic Texas Hill Country.
