Book Description:
With the precision of a surgeon, a serial killer preys on the most vulnerable souls of the world's city streets. The first victim: a sidewalk sleeper, found dead in New York City. No bruises, no signs of struggle. Just a laser-perfect, fist-sized hole where his heart had once been. Lieutenant Eve Dallas is assigned to investigate. But in the heat of a cat-and-mouse game with the killer, Dallas's job is suddenly on the line. Now her hands are tied... between a struggle for justice - and a fight for her career...

This is a great book in the series! This book was definitely an emotional one, especially because the reader feels that they "know" Eve now through the series. We see her striped of what she knows. Another great story about Eve's determination and Roarke's love.

Conspiracy in Death is a gripping novel that blends futuristic cop thriller with romantic suspense. A serial killer is killing street people in a terrible way....he uses a laser surgical tool and cuts out the heart.........

Furturistice but not fanatical. You can relate to Eve and Rork and really get in to the story. Great series.

The best combination of romance and mystery there is... great writing and really keeps your interest. I couldn't put it down. Love this series... "to death"! ;-)

Another winning book in the "...IN DEATH" series, this one finds Eve fighting for justice for the lower class citizens of New York.

After finding a street sleeper dead in his crib, his heart surgically removed, it doesn't take Eve long to figure out that there's some type of conspiracy involved within the medical community. When the threats become personal and Eve is forced to hand over her weapon and her badge, her life takes a turn for the worse.

This is a very emotional Eve & Roarke read, and highly recommended!

This is the 8th book in the Lt. Eve Dallas series of slightly futuristic police/murder mystery books. J.D. Robb's books are all good.

I love powerful Lt. Eve Dallas and how the complex New York City crimes are solved. If you don't wanna bite her husband, don't read these books! Nora Robert's best writing is as JD Robb in this "In Death" series of some 30+ stories to date. I collect all of the JD Robb books, but skip the Roberts, whose stories are not as tight as those about Lt. Eve Dallas - ass kicker! If the future of New York City is like this, I fear these futuristic killers who are sneaky and complex.

A quick read. You don't have to read the whole series to enjoy this book.

Every twist and turn is so good you can hardly put the book down. Then there's the oh-so-complicated love and romance between Eve and Roarke. How could you not win with this combination. Excellent read.

It is fun to follow the lives of Detective Eve Dallas and her husband who just happens to be extremely rich and doesn't mind helping her out but he prefers to do it just under the radar of the "correct" way to access data, etc. A great series of over 30 books and you won't want to miss any.
