5th in the series but reads well as a stand alone too. Benni Harper is a wonderful character and these books are wonderfully plotted so it takes a lot to figure out who done it. Benni's relationships with her new husband, her family and friends make this a wonderful read but not TOO cozy.

This is a nice little mystery, with a cozy small town background. I liked the combination of ranch life & artist community. There's also a nice love story between Benni and her new husband that I found realistic and refreshing.

Another Benni Harper winner...Benni vows to stay out of San Celina's latest murder until her ex brother-in-law is the best suspect. As usual she and Gabe butt heads but the murderer is a real surprise. I enjoyed the book - Earlene has developed lovable characters and writes great stories.

Benni Harper, a spirited cowgirl, quilter and folk art expert and about 200 of her relatives and friends are gathered for the family's annual bbq and cattage roundup. Among them is Shelby Johnson, a young photography student from a wealthy Chicago family who is drawn to San Celina by her love of the West and a passionate desire to catch it all on film. In Bennie\ she finds a favorite subject and a new friend. But when Shelby's body is discovered on the ranch the next morning, Benni's closest relatives suddenly develop into prime murder suspects. This is a good series with interesting characters and a real sense of the independent spirit that still rules in the West.

Part of the Benni Harper series, again a good book on its own merits. This series, each named for a quilt pattern, is not as "cozy" as the titles imply. But I have enjoyed watching Benni fall in love and am a big fan of her home town.

Great characters, they get richer with each book. Love Benni's family and the town of San Celina. Great relationships between the characters and the new ones being added.

This series is wonderful, expecially for quilters. I am not a quilter and enjoyed the books anyway.
