Mrs. Jeffries and her household staff of the inspecter help behind the scenes to investigate a murder. Much to the inspectors surprise, he is never aware of it. These are based in London. Very enjoyable series.

Very good story. Mrs Jeffries and company are up to solving the murder as usual.
Harrison Nye may have been involved in some dubious business dealings, but no one ever expected him to be murdered. Now Inspector Witherspoon must root out the perpetrator of the underhanded deed. Nye's business associate visited him just hours before the murder and seems to knwo more than he's letting on. And when his maid disappears, this dirty business gets even deadlier. Now, Mrs. Jeffries and her staff must root throught the sins of Nye's past to discover which one caught up with him.

Another Victorian mystery in which Mrs. Jeffries, housekeeper to Inspector Witherspoon, does much of his thinking for him and a good bit of the leg work, aided by the kitchen staff. A witty, comfortable cozy.
I really enjoy this series.

An enjoyable Victorian mystery with Inspector Weatherspoon's staff helping solve the murder without him being any the wiser.
A quick, but enjoyable read. Although this wasn't one of my favorite of the series, it was still good.
