This was a good light read. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series. The author is really good at using color to describe her scenes. I've never been overly interested in needlework, but it sounds really interesting without being overbearing.

Betsy is suffering from terrifying nightmares; thinks it might be good to get away for awhile. Dragging Jill along they head north for a "stitch-in" at a remote rustic lodge...and the nightmares get worse...

The art of needlecraft requires patience, discipline, and creativity. So, too, does the art of detection. Clever needleworkers try to piece a case together---stitch by sinster stitch...

The second in the Betsy Devonshire needlecraft mysteries. The protagonist is still struggling with her unexpected sleuthing talent, which is interesting, but Ferris is still trying to develop realistic villains.

Betsy and quirky Excelsior, MN make this series a joy every time I pick up a new one.

4th in the series. A fast, easy read. Enjoyable, but not too mysterious or enthralling. I like the characters of Jill and Betsy, who figure most prominently in this one. The setting was nice, outside of the hometown for a change. The whole thing seemed to pull together far too easily though. The murderers simply blurted out what they'd done, which made things seem a bit lame.

Monica Ferris is one of my favorite authors. I just love her books, and her little Needecraft shop!
