I love reading time travel novels.
Typical for Kurland but well worth it. Makes you wish there were such a family and you were part of it.

Another great Lynn Kurland novel. One of my favorite authors.
A lovely story, detailing the history and eventual relationship of Thomas McKinnon and Iolanthe MacLeod. Well-written as all Lynn Kurland's novels, but not my favorite of the bunch. I do like the reoccurance of the some of the popular characters and the way the plot intertwines with their stories. A great read!
My Heart Stood Still is yet another beautiful, clean romance by Kurland!

The moment businessman Thomas McKinnon hears that the ancient, ruined English keep is up for sale, he feels compelled to purchase it. Now he finds himself the proud owner of Thorpewold, in all its dubious splendor. However, ownership of Thorpewold is a bit questionable, for there is a ghost who claims it belongs to her. In 1382 Iolanthe MacLeod was betrayed and murdered in Thorpewold, and her blood binds her to the castle.
Iolanthe is intrigued by Thomas, who not only can see her, but also guesses her true name. As he spends more time restoring his new purchase, he begins to fear that he has found his soulmate several hundred years too late. Is their love doomed, or is there a way to change history?

She is a ghost of a woman roaming the castle waiting for Thomas. He comes with hammer in hand ready to renovate little does he know what awaits.
In a bleak, landlocked keep on the English moors, Iolanthe MacLeod dreams of the sea—and of a darkly handsome man to come rescue her. Centuries have passed, and she feels she has waited in vain.
Until now.
Thomas McKinnon is used to attaining impossible heights, both in business and in the mountains he loves. But when the chance to restore a twelfth-century castle comes his way, he gamely takes hammer in hand and crosses the Atlantic, expecting to find nothing more interesting inside his new home than cobwebs and weeds.
But in that ancient, crumbling castle, the fierce, restless spirit of a medieval Scottish woman lives on—a woman so haunting that he would do anything, go anywhere, risk everything to make her his forever . . .
