I liked this second book in the series better than the first. I still prefer his candlemaking series, though.

Alex is allowing a craft fair to be held on the grounds of his inn and one of the crafters - a blacksmith is impaled with a rod that appeared to have been made by a rival. The small town sheriff bumbles about suspecting that rival, but the blacksmith had a lot of enemies. As usual Alex is drawn into investigating things for himself.
These books are short, fast, cozy reads and I've enjoyed every Myers book I've read, this innkeeping series and his other craft series.

The second in the Lighthouse series. Innkeeper Alex is likeable. It is a quick, light mystery to enjoy with an interesting setting in North Carolina.

Delightful light read. The lighthouse centered inn is a totally different spin.

I'm again disappointed with Mr Myers writting ability. Such a great setting and idea for a series of books, but I don't feel that I'm a welcomed guest at his inn.

Life is going smoothly for innkeeper Alex Winston until the corpse of the town's blacksmith is discovered prior to the kickoff of the Golden Days Fair in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Moumtains.
