After the short and somewhat less than satisfying Creature Discomforts, Holly is back in full form in The Wicked Flea. I've always loved Althea and Cici and it was a pleasure to see them return in a supporting role for this book. The mystery was classic Conant, the resolutions of some personal issues were satisfying and the canine characters were engaging as always. Fun read.

another very good book by Susan Conant. One of the more enjoyable ones in the series. She never does a "formula" mystery. Always some unique plot items and always twists!

I love this whole series, not just because I own Alaskan Malamutes, but because the writing is a cut above the norm for female protagonist mystery books. The main character is realistic, and if you've been following the story, this book definitely moves it along.
