Very good book about life as a firefighter, EMT, paramedic, etc. It reminded me of the new TV series "Saved". Lots of action, several story lines at once. (I actually like the secondary characters, Casey & Zach.) The ending left something to be desired since it never completely "wrapped everything up". The author has another book in the series after this one and things pick up "later" there through a preview of the next book.

This is the second book I've read. Like "After the Fire", this was a little slow starting, but I enjoyed the characters (especially the recurring ones and the subplot ones) and the story was good. I'm looking forward to reading the next one in the series.

I absolutely love this series and have read them multiple times. Kathryn Shay did a great job giving the reader an inside view of a fire department. These are on my keeper shelf.

This book is part of a very good series of fire fighters and their families. I enjoyed the story and want to read all the books related to it.
This is the 2nd book in series, the first being "After The Fire", the third being "Nothing More To Lose".All three books were really good stories. I am looking forward to reading more of her books.

this book carries on the story of hidden cove and thr firefighters that work so hard to save lives and the inner actions of the gruop of firefighters, was very good
