Book Description:
Kelly Flynn's finally feeling at home in Fort Connor, Colorado, especially when she's knitting with friends at House of Lambspun. But her friend Allison is ready to leave town -- until someone cancels her trip, permanently.

Kelly and Megan are happy for their friend, Allison Dubois, a talented, young artist who's joining a designer's New York studio. But when they arrive to take Allison to the airport, they find her dead on the apartment floor, apparently from an overdose of sleeping pills. Police suspect suicide, but Kelly and Megan aren't convinced. Soon, Kelly learns that while Allison's career was on the fast-track, her social life was a mess. A bad news boyfriend, a jealous design student, and a mysterious man named Brian arouse Kelly's suspicions as she and her friends try to unravel this tightly stitched puzzle.

This is another installment of the Kelly Flynn knitting mystery series. Overall, the story really focuses on Kelly and how she's trying to build a life for herself in Colorado. My main problem with the book was that the ending was rather anti-climactic. There was a good case built up against the suspect, but no resolution to the case. It wasn't badly written, just lacking resolution/denouement. Oh and I noticed that in my copy, there were random printing errors that really irritated. I didn't see anything to indicate that it was an ARC either, so that made it all the more irritating. Having said all that, I still enjoyed the story overall and I will continue to read this series, no doubt about it. I feel her overall writing style is getting stronger with each installment. I'm looking forward to the next book for sure! :)

This is the third "knitting mystery" for author Maggie Sefton. Her writing style is improving with each volume. Her plot twists are entertaining and keep you reading. In her first book, Knit One, Kill Two, the author was very repetitive in her descriptions and the characters were rather flat. Nice to see the growth in characters and more varied descriptions.

Knitters will enjoy this cozy mystery. Non knitters will too! But beware, the fiber descriptions may pull you into your local yarn shop!

As a knitter myself, I really enjoy the series. The only problem is that I get so caught up in the description of the yarns that I end up spending additional money adding to my existing stash!

Knitter Kelly Flynn is thrilled that her friend Allison is joining a New York designer's studio. But when Allison's new life ends before it even begins, Kelly starts to unravel Allison's messy, fast-track social circle. Includes a knitting pattern and recipe.

A fun "cozy" mystery, the third in the series about Kelly Flynn and her friends at House of Lambspun knitting shop, complete with recipe and knitting pattern. A light and enjoyabe read!

This series is definitely a great summer read. The third, A Deadly Yarn, proves this statement to be true. Maggie Sefton does a wonderful job creating a down home environment with just enough spark and mystery to keep you turning the pages. I really love the idea of adding a recipe and knitting pattern at the end, very nice touch.

Delicious recipe and knitting pattern included!

Knitter Kelly Flynn is thrilled that her friend Allison is joining a New York designer's studio. But when the young artist's new life ends before it even begins, Kelly starts to unravel Allison's messy, fast-track social circle—and its lethally wound threads.
