Book Description:
Frankie Smith's longtime boyfriend just left her for another woman. But she doesn't have much time to nurse her broken heart - her diner is as popular as ever, and the people of Six Palms want their appetites satisfied...

When the body of a wealthy local woman is discovered in a nearby alley, Frankie's troubles suddenly don't seem so terrible. That is, until she realizes she's one of Chief Jack West's prime suspects. The truth is, Jack's attraction to the sexy proprietor of All U Can Eat is all-consuming - though he knows hauling her into police custody isn't going to improve his chances to catch her eye.

What neither of them realize is that this little town is full of secrets, some of which would shock even Six Palm's raciest residents. Determined to clear her name - and to get to know the ultra-responsible police chief better - Frankie joins Jack, and a few other dishy locals, on a roller-coaster ride of an investigation. As the twists and turns unfold, letting go of their inhibitions begins to seem like the most natural thing in the world...

I read a little more than half of this book before getting bored and putting it down. The plot, what there was of it, consists of a woman who owns a diner called "All U Can Eat" (did Prince name this?) who is jilted by her lover and proceeds to soothe her ego by sleeping with a whole bunch of men. After one romp she finds a dead body in the alleyway near her diner. The chief of police arrives and, wouldn't you know it, he's always had a crush on the sexy diner owner but stomps down his lust when she turns out to be one of the suspects. Who killed this strange woman and why should I care? I'll never know because I'm not going to finish it. The reviews keep calling it "toe curling" and "delicious" but I must've missed something because I found it repetitive, forgettable and tamed down when compared to Strange Attractions. There's just no pleasing me, I guess.

Contemporary and in no way supernatural. But if you have read other Emma Holly's novels, you find the same characters she works and re-works in all her books. This is a very erotic story, with a murder mystery, too. I just hated the ex-boyfriend, glad she was rid of him. Wished he had made it on the hit list, too. Not, one of her best. My favorite is Menage and the first two Demon World novels. Personal Assets isn't bad,Stange Attractions was good, too.

Last book I read by Ms. Holly was Strange Attractions.....that was one hot book. This book is also very steamy, but has great characters you can't help but like and a story as well. Excellent book, took me 2days to finish. Looking forward to more by her. She does not disappoint.

This was a great book. Although this book has plenty of spontaneous sex with various partners, this one had a murder investigation plot. I loved the way the Police Chief and Frankie finally got together, and the ending was very romantic. One of her best books by far.

Emma Holly mixes the erotic with the whodunit and brings a deliciously inventive story to this page-turning summer thriller.

I haven't read much erotica, so I don't have much to compare to. Great sex scenes, but I don't want a romance novel if I'm gonna read smut!!

This was a very steamy book!!! The leading lady really gets around, but this doesn't matter to the leading man who doesn't get around any throughout the whole book. That is until they get together. I really enjoyed this book! HOT! HOT! HOT!
