This was the 2nd in the series and I thought it was so much better than the first! The mystery was good and the character, Jenny, who annoyed me so much during the first book, was much better in this one. It was also interesting coming from a dance competition point of view and brought back memories from my past. Very good and look forward to reading the next one when it comes out!

Second in the series and as fun and funky as the first. Jenny is a great character, down to earth, a bit reckless and a magnet for trouble. Her relationships with the supporting characters are varied & interesting. Looking forward to more in this series!

This is the 2nd in the Jenny T. Partridge Dance Mystery series. There seems to be quite a lot of ditzy mystery heroines out there these days. Jenny is clearly designed to be another of these mystery ditz. And for this series, it is done rather well, although you can sometimes see the author making a consciously dumb choice for her. The characters around Jenny tend not to be the loveable kind, more the why does she hang out with these people kind. Sal is a great in his expanded role, looking forward to seeing more of him. All in all this is a good series and I will keep reading, although if you are a Mormon or a dance mom, you may find yourself annoyed with her take on those groups.

I was pretty skeptical. Most of the bad reviews I saw said that Jenny was over the top about Psycho Dance Moms and the Mormons. I really didn't think I would like this one. But I did.

I did not read the 1st book in this series but I didn't feel lost. I really enjoyed the relationships between Jenny, Tate, and her friends. Again, I am wondering why cozy writers ALWAYS have the boyfriend be a cop. Why can't we have a female cop best friend, or a gay male friend as the cop, or anybody else!?! Mom, Dad, grandma, brother... anybody, please?

But aside from that quirk of mine, this story was good. It was better than I expected and I enjoyed following the clues in the story to find the killer.
