Book Description:
In the wake of his bestselling Christmas Jars comes a sweetly crafted story from Wright, a Virginia businessman. Jack and Laurel Cooper are two hardworking, loving Christian pillars of the community who die in each other's arms one night in the bed-and-breakfast that they own and operate. The event calls their three grown children home for the funeral, including their youngest son, a fugitive from the law who must face an outstanding warrant for his arrest and confront his one true love, now engaged to another man. As events unfold around the funeral, the three children discover a treasure trove of family history in the form of Wednesday letters-notes that Jack wrote to his wife every single week of their married lives. As they read, the children brush across the fabric of a devoted marriage that survived a devastating event kept secret all these years. It's a lovely story: heartening, wholesome, humorous, suspenseful and redemptive. It resonates with the true meaning of family and the life-healing power of forgiveness all wrapped up in a satisfying ending. -- Publishers Weekly

I had no expectations from this book and I was hooked from the very 1st chapter. I read it in two sittings. It's delightful and if you believe in true love, family secrets and think your family is normal, this book is eye opening and the one for you!

I read this book in one day. I loved the main characters, and it was such a joy to read a book without the vulgar language and situations found in so many of todays books.

(From back cover)
Their story began with one letter on their wedding night.

I made a promise today at the church and I'm making another promise tonight.
I'm going to write to you every week ... Laurel, I will always stand by you.
No matter what ...

It ended almost forty years later, when Jack and Laurel Cooper died in each other's arms. But before he took his last breath, Jack wrote his wife one final "Wednesday letter."

From Jason F Wright comes a timeless story of love and forgiveness that will inspire us all to start writing our own "Wednesday letters."

I loved this book! Once I started I couldn't put it down. I would say that his writing is similar to Nicholas Sparks. I would recommend this book to my friends, it's worth the read.

A sad little book trying too hard. The concept of losing your parents and finding out their secrets all of a weekend has lots of merit, but Wright definitely didn't pull it off. It was not well written, and it was very predictable. He also got many funeral details incorrect. Concept should be retried by someone who can write much better.

I can't believe this book was a best seller. I tried to read this but had to force myself to keep turing the page. I finally gave up because I was completely bored with it.

This book had some unexpected twists. I hated having to put it down and was anxious to get back to the story each time.

Lovely story, quick read. An interesting look at how siblings come together at the death of their parents. Much is revealed about each of them as the story progresses and they learn to know new aspects of their parents and thier life together. Difficult situations and the love that brings them through are the highlights. Light reading but we all need to indulge ourselves sometimes. Enjoy!

A quick read. Interesting premise about siblings coming together at their parents deaths and learning about each other and about their parents. Unfortunately, the ending was a little too neat for my taste. It all comes together all too quickly in a predictable way.

A good story quick read. A little contrived and bit predictable in spots. I do admire Jack and Laurel and the choices they made in life. Not a story I'll forget about for awhile.
