Book Description:
Spoof letter writing has a long history from Lazlo Toth to Henry Root but nothing can prepare for the uniquely surreal and endearing world of Ted L. Nancy. A kind of Trigger Happy correspondence, his innocent requests, queries, complaints, demands and suggestions to hotels, airlines, multi-national corporations, local government and department stores are so absurd it is amazing they fool anyone -- but often the deadpan responses are even more hilarious. Ted wants to know if he can graft his big toe onto his nose, why his wife left him while he was in a coma for another man in a coma, and if he can consummate his marriage in the administrative office of the chapel. He writes to hotels telling them that he eats his mattress. He writes to casinos to ask if his band the 'Fat Beatles' can perform and he can stay in their hotel dressed as a bladder. This work is utterly addictive and wet-yourself-in-a-public-place funny.

Funny, light reading. Copies of letters from and to companies that read like prank phone calls. The book has an introduction from Jerry Seinfeld and I have heard that he is actually the author, Ted L. Nancy.

Very funny to read. I read it once and had to read it again and again just because it is funny to hear corporate responses from hilarious requests in letters.

This is a funny book about a man who sends letters to companies and some of the replys show the letters have not even been read. Some of the authors letters ask for some crazy things.
this is a book you can bring with you to read while waiting at the drs office, etc.... its funny and unique....
A different sort of book, slightly funny. Definitely from a nut, though.
Very funny and a quick read! A series of humorous inquiry, complaint, and request letters to businesses and organizations such as seeking permission to wear a banana costume on a bus. Most have the reply letters included. In several of my jobs, I've had access to letters from the public and if I didn't know these were "crank" letters, I'd believe they were real ones.
