I've been really enjoying these books. They're a blend of magic meets technology and Mission Impossible meets fairy folklore. I like the development Artemis's character is making and am looking forward to the next in the series.

Teri E. (the artemis foul series is a great series for people who like harry potter. it's a much quicker read. great for reading out loud or together with your child.
Actually, this is the 3rd book in the series, after "Artemis Fowl" and "The Arctic Incident"
My son and I really enjoyed this book...it is the second book in this series.
