My favorite Jack Reacher novel to date. Jack finds himself helping a man whose wife has been kidnapped, only to find it is a more complex situation than he believed it to be. Jack is at his finest in this book. The action is great, and it's got a great twist 3/4's of the way in. Once again, Lee Child has show that Jack Reacher can get the job done the way no one else can.

Another great Jack Reacher story involving murder, kidnapping, hot money and even a little romance. As we've learned in the past, Jack can handle it all. Hard to put down.

One of the better Lee Child books, in among others that are very good, but this is one of the best. Twists and adventure, not too much extraneous tangents.

Fast paced, keeps you guessing. This time Reacher runs into a soldiers-for-hire operation. Lane the leaders wife and stepdaughter have been kidnapped. On the way to finding the victims reacher discoveres a dirty secret. Reacher knowes he should quit, but the life of two innocent people are at stake, he can't.

Another excellent Jack Reacher novel. Jack thinks he is helping find a missing, beloved wife and her daughter.Truth is stranger than fiction,and Jack finds himself doubting everything he sees and hears..rightly so. A great read, set aside an afternoon, you will not be putting this one down anytime soon.

Lee Child's books get better and better! Reacher is awesome. His word pictures suck you in right from the first sentence.

I think this is about the tenth or so Jack Reacher series book. Even though it is part of a series, this one can easily stand alone. I love Child's style and I guess I'd have to admit, I love this character. His "take-no-prisoners" ethic, combined with his intelligence and gusto, makes him hard to resist. This is no exception to the others of the series. Quick-paced and very satisfying.
Occasionally, I knew I should have found some of the situations questionable but Child makes it totally believable. I figured out a crucial element long before Jack did and that made me a bit disappointed in him, but hey, he's only human. I'd definitely want to have Jack Reacher on my side.
I can hardly wait to read the next one!

This was the first Lee Child book I've read & I loved it! It was a fast read & kept your interest throughout the book.

A straight-ahead, high octane thriller, enjoyed it very much. You won't want to miss it.
Jack Reacher was alone, the way he liked it soaking up the hot, electric New York city night, watching a man cross the street to a parked Mercerdes and drive it away. Reacher knows that his employer Edward Lane is hiding something. Somethng dirty, something big, but he's already in way too deep to stop now. And if he has to do it the Hard Way, he will.
Gaylene G. (Jack Reacher is the kind of guy that you know will always come out on top. He's clever and resourceful and doesn't mind using his skills to kill the bad guys. Fast paced and exciting.
A Jack Reacher novel. A fast paced thriller. On the trail of kidnappers Jack leans the truth about his employers. Nothing is what it seems. Great read.
