Another enjoyable tale from the author of the Prydain series. Wonderful assortment of characters and adventures.

How could Theo have known that the printing press would be destroyed after publishing Dr. Absalom's pamphlet? He hadn't expected trouble, but with evil Cabbarus taking over for the grief-stricken king, Theo knows he must flee from Westmark.

Caught on the wrong side of the law, Theo teams up with Dr. Absalom (alias Count Las Bombas), his servant Musket, and Mickle, an urchin girl with a mysterious past.
