Book Description:
When a horrifying attack leaves one of the four members of the Women's Murder Club struggling for her life, the others fight to keep a madman behind bars before anyone else is hurt.

Lindsay Boxer and her new partner in the San Francisco police department run flat-out to stop a series of kidnappings that has electrified the city: children are being plucked off the streets together with their nannies--but the kidnappers aren't demanding ransom. Amid uncertainty and rising panic, Lindsay juggles the possibility of a new love with an unsolvable investigation, and the knowledge that one member of the club could be on the brink of death.

And just when everything appears momentarily under control, the case takes a terrifying turn, putting an entire city in lethal danger. Lindsay must make a choice she never dreamed she'd face--with no certainty that either outcome has more than a prayer of success.

It's an ok book - I hate how the chapters are all are around 2 pages long. If you have nothing else to read...

In this the 6th Women's Murder Club book we have several things going on at once. First there is a horrific shooting on a ferry boat that leaves several dead and women's club member Claire in the hospital. Then we have the abduction of a child from a wealthy family and the murder of her nanny. Lindsay Boxer takes a demotion to get back on the street to help solve both cases and of course nothing is as it originally appears. It moves quickly but frankly I would like to have seen more time dedicated to the kidnapping instead of the ferry shooting and subsequent trial as it had some very interesting aspects that were not addressed to my satisfaction. In any event it is a good quick read.

Easy to read and a real page turner. Subject matter is very intriguing and keeps you wanting to know what is next. Women's Murder Club books have all been excellent.

This was a quick read with yet another ambiguous ending. It seems this is starting to become a habit. There were several storylines which were not connected with each other and they all left me a bit confused. This is the weakest of the six that I have read so far.
