Book Description:
Kristin Burns is making her way in New York City. Her photos are being considered at a major Manhattan gallery, she works by day with two wonderful children, and the man of her dreams is almost hers for keeps. But just as everything she's ever wanted is finally within reach, her life changes forever--with one murderous nightmare. Kristin wakes up every morning from the same chilling, unforgettable dream. And suddenly, it's visiting her during the day too. As her life turns stranger by the minute, Kristin is haunted and terrified. Is it all in her head? Or is the nightmare becoming her life? Kristin searches desperately for what's real through the lens of her camera, only knowing two things for sure: that no place is safe and the fate of everyone she loves lies in her hands.

Hmmm. This was a very strange book. But it was the kind of strange that kept you reading to find out what the heck was going on and how does she get out of this mess. I don't think I have ever read a book from this perspective before but it makes you go WOW! and Hmmm! and Huh? I love James Patterson books and actually this was no exception, albeit different! I do recommend this book and an open mind while reading it. Just go with the flow and you will enjoy it.

Not your typical James Patterson book. Found that I just kept reading to see where it was going. Alittle on the weird side. One of those books that after reading not sure whether you like it or not.

This one really had me going.  I could not figure it out.  So many reasons, but which one is the story?  Good Book, fast read, great escape.  Perfect for traveling, or waiting around.

A very different book than what you would expect from James Patterson, but definately an attention keeper. I picked it up and didn't put it down until the end.

wow. this is perhaps the best of James Patterson & Howard Roughan, it keeps you on the edge of your seat from one page to the next. You think you have it figured out and then your blindsided by a completely different scenario.
Absolutely great!!!

Take everything you have believed about life and life after; rethink it all after reading this, "can't put it down" thrill a minute. You will never see violence the same way again.

James Patterson at his best. I like everything he writes but he has outdone himself on this one. Would like to se a sequel to this book. Would recommend this to anyone who likes to be kept on the edge of the seat with a story.

I was disappointed... but it was my own inattention to details that set me up. I didn't notice the "& Howard Roughan" part of the author(s) name(s) in the description & on the cover. I've found that when my favorite authors partner with another author, it's always disappointing. (i.e. Tom Clancy, Anne McCaffrey & others). Their talents are legend and should never be defiled by the partnership model. If James Patterson is not the author (and the only part of this book that suggests that he was is the short, 2- or 3-page chapters) then don't feature him as "THE AUTHOR". I find it deceptive.

My experiences with these books are that the book is written by the unknown author & the well-known author lends his name to the project (maybe/probably does a bit of editorial oversight) and the results are simply that... this unknown guy gets published and the reader gets disappointed. I feel like James Patterson has sold out.

This storyline starts with potential & sinks deeply into improbability (even in the land of supernatural fiction), creepiness and stupidity. The ending was so unsatisfactory.
Where did James Patterson go??? I want him back.

What's real and what's not?! Couldn't stop reading to find out what's happening to this poor girl! Easy read.

this is one crazy book! can see why some might not like it and it's not my usual style either but a quick, easy read with a twist at the end just when you think you know the ending.

This is one of the most unusual books I've ever read! Kept me on my toes through out.

Started out strange and didn't improve. It was extremely predictable and disappointing. I usally like Patterson's writing when he does not collaborate with another writer. I keep proving that to myself again and again. Too disappointing.

I did not like this book at all. I only finished it to see how it was going to end.

I love James Patterson, but I did not like this book. It was too bizarre....it was more like a Stephen King book. I guess it you're a King fan, you'd like this one. It was odd, creepy, and a little far-fetched. I read the whole thing thinking I might like it, but no such luck.
