Book Description
Initially published in November 1995 with little fanfare, SIMPLE ABUNDANCEa daily inspirational guide written for women who wish to live by their own lightssoon found its audience through word-of-mouth raves, including one from Oprah Winfrey, who called it life-changing. USA TODAY cited SIMPLE ABUNDANCE as one of the top 10 bestselling books of the nineties, and it was on the New York Times bestseller list for more than two years. Now, to commemorate a decade of helping women around the world discover what matters most to them, SIMPLE ABUNDANCE has been reissued in a special 10th anniversary edition, which includes a brand new introduction by Sarah as well as completely revised and updated monthly suggestions for Joyful Simplicities.

Who doesn't seek simplicity in their life in this day and age? Sarah Ban Breathnach brings this "breath" of fresh air to us everyday with this devotional spanning 365 days. It doesn't relate to a specific year so each day you read a fresh thought to revel in for the day. It is nice to be able to reference the devotion each year and measure the changes from year to year. Obviously some devotionals may not apply to your life that day or that year, but it may not be about you but someone you love. I found it a source to share in encouraging friends, family and folks in need. You can easily copy the text because they are short and mail it to friends far away. I found I am blessed by a card or letter from a friend incredulous over how I knew they needed that message. It is a God thing. Let this be your greatest daily tool to bring about so much in so many. Words make a great deal of difference. Say something nice to a stranger and see how they brighten up. Sarah is doing the same thing for us in this book.

A great book to start off the new year with. I have to admit I did not make it through the entire book but what I did make it through was helpful and thought provoking. It had many good points about focusing on the simple things of life.

This book has a green leathertype cover......not the pink one pictured. A great book with daily readings on how to keep life simple but full of comfort and joy. A great daily read for women.
