Book Description:
Bestselling author T. D. Jakes pens a powerful tale of God's ability to heal the scars of the past and rejuvenate hope for the future. COVER GIRLS is a compelling novel of real faith that follows four African American women throughout one year as they learn to balance children, estranged husbands, boyfriends, and problems at work with their heartfelt belief in God. Meet Camille, a young woman determined never to be used again--by a man, by her family, or by her boss; Tonya, Camille's boss, who feels she is losing her power and dream to Camille; Mrs. Judson, the office supervisor, who is in charge at work but fears she has lost control of all she holds dear at home; and Ms. Ida, a devout and saintly woman who will have the last word, helping these disparate women find themselves and each other. These are the COVER GIRLS--four women who learn to drop their cover, be themselves, and open up to friends and family without the fear of rejection.

A good story - great characters that you can 'immerse' yourself into - each ends up having their own 'twist' and all turns out well :0)

hard hitting book that addresses how we have come to accept the gray areas of life- instead of what should be black and white. The story shows that we live in our own world and don't reach out like our parents did. I learned alot about me.
