Book Description:
Laced with mystery, SAM'S LETTERS TO JENNIFER combines two unforgettable love stories in a novel that's absolutely impossible to put down. Jennifer returns to the resort village where she grew up to help a beloved relative--and ends up experiencing not one but two of the most amazing love stories she's ever known.

The first is completely unexpected. In a series of letters that Jennifer finds, her relative reveals that she has concealed a huge secret for decades: Her great love is not the man she was married to for all those years. As Jennifer reads about this passionate partnership, she learns more about love's imperatives and secrets than she ever dreamed possible.

And then comes the biggest surprise of all. At a time when she thought she could never love again, Jennifer lets her guard down for a moment--and is suddenly caught up in the greatest flight of exhilaration she's ever known. But, just as suddenly, she learns that this new love comes with an unbearable cost. Jennifer doesn't think she can survive the pain--but the letters she's been reading make her think that love may help her find a way. James Patterson's most recent major international bestseller is The Lake House. He is the author of 26 books and lives in Florida.

A touching love story, both romantic love and love of family. If you liked "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" you will like this book.

Again, James Patterson doesn't fail us. His thrillers are easy-to-read and hard-to-put-down, and he keeps me happy with his romance novels too. I can generally read his books in a day or two (I hate to put them down!), and cried over this heartwarming story.

James Patterson is a master! I don't read romances, but Sam's Letters to Jennifer and Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas were AWESOME!! (And this review is coming from a guy.)
I read all of Patterson's books and these two are definitely different from his usual string of murder mystery thrillers, but still of the highest quality!!
I absolutely recommend this book to anyone!! (And yes, it's OK for a guy to enjoy a love story!)
Definitely 5+ stars!!

It amazes me that the James Patterson can write such graphic stories as the Alex Cross series and also romance stories. I have read all of his books and couldn't put them down. "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" was the first book to make me cry in years. Because of this I was excited to read this book.

"Sam's Letters to Jennifer" is a great but predictable book. If you like romantic quick reads than this is the book for you. All of Patterson's books are fast paced and hard to put down. This is no exception...It will have you thinking about your own grandmother and the stories of her life.

I'm not a great fan of James Patterson's, but this book was great and very well written.
At the beginning I thought Sam was going to be a man, was pleasantly suprised to find out it was her grandmother. Enjoyed the book emensly

Different than his other books but still enjoyable!

I don't think that I have read many of James Patterson's books so I am not sure if his writting style is the same through out his career but I thoroughly enjoyed the story but the short chapters and nonexistant imagery made me give this book a three out of five. It is a really quick read and a great story, just not my type of writing style. I prefer more substance to the surrounding environment that the characters move through. It was almost like the main character was explaining every move that she made. There was no break from the story to describe the scenery or emotional states of the characters. AT least not to the extent that I would expect from a writer with his reputation.

Good read but not as good as suzanne's Diary to Nicholas. One that you will laugh and cry throughout.

I couldn't get through this book. I know Patterson is supposed to be a best-selling author, but the writing isn't that great and I thought the story was rather trite and too sweet.

Good book (for a romance), quick read. I enjoyed it, but don't plan to re-read.
