Book Description:
Do gentlemen really prefer blondes?

Harper is the youngest attorney in her firm to make partner and, at thirty-five, the oldest one to remain unmarried. It seems the more successful she gets, the faster men run for the door. What to do? Apply her very expensive law school education to the problem, of course!

I enjoyed this book - it is a quick and easy read. I found it quite humorous as a blonde. In this book you follow the adventures of an attractive blonde attorney who hasn't had a date in several years and is coaxed into an experiment by her friends for 30 days ... to become a ditsy blonde :)

Being blonde (nurture not nature) it bothered me that blonde = dumb in this book. More so because the author is blonde!

I enjoyed this book enough to read it twice :)
The plot is a little predictible, and it rambles in a few places, but overall is a good read. The characters are realistic & develop well, and it is easy to follow their thoughts & feelings.
I would definately reccommend this to anyone who likes chick lit.

Cute. The dates seemed a little far-fetched and the plot predictable at times, but entertaining. Can see this becoming a chick-flick.

A day's read.
The blonde isn't dumb, she's a partner in a NYC law firm where she combines her love of chemistry and law as a patent attorney. She's not recovering well from a break up and takes on the girlfriends' challenge to try life in the evenings as a dumb blond. It gets interesting.....and has some laugh out loud parts.

Here's the chapter 14 opening graph:
"That night I met Jack Majors for an early dinner at Bistro 49, thoroughly distracted both by thoughts of Jill's husband Alec; and by embarrassment over my encounter with Matt that day. Emmie was, as promised, hunkered over a double latte at the twnety-four-hour coffee shop across from Jill's apartment, and she had promised to text me if and when she saw Alec leave. Until then, I was to go ahead with my date. I tried unsuccessfully to push Matt's infuriating words from my mind."

This book is a fun read, even if you are not blonde. Kristin Harmel write tightly and with a fast pace. While it would be a perfect summer-by-the-pool choice, I enjoyed it even in the dead of winter!!
