To be honest, I really didn't like this book at all. The Countess is the typical "I can see everything" psychic but one that with her past should be in her 90's not late 40's -the setting time is really screwy. Detective Pruden is really not fleshed out much. The stories were quite contrived, but other readers seem to like it. I haven't read her other series, and unsure I will after reading this one.

This is NOT a Mrs. Pollifax novel as I thought it was but a story about a psychic. It was very light, good reading, however.

Another great book by Dorothy Gilman -- not a Mrs. Pollifax book, but very good!

This series is a favorite of mine. There is always more than one mystery and I really like that a lot.

This is a stand alone cozy. Fun and light reading with a great plot. Charming characters!

This is a standalone book but when I finished it I wished there was a sequel so I could follow up on the characters in the book. You get to know and love the main characters.

In the Chairvoyant Countess, we are introduced to the mysterious Madame Karitska, who can see things no one else can-including murder.....

By the author of the Mrs. Pollifax books. I like these better.
