I love all of Eichler's books with Desiree Shaperio. This one is no exception. If you are interested in female P.I.s and if you can relate to a larger than life woman, then this one is for you.

Susan F. (Here we have a PI who is different from most. She doesn't jog, doesn't know any martial arts, but when it comes to bakeries etc she just has to stop in on her way to where ever she is going. In this book she comes to the aid of an ex-boyfriend who is being accused of murdering his wife. She is sure he is a louse but she is also sure murder is not something he would do.
