Book Description:
At twenty-six, Seattle-based chef Kate Linden still has the urge to dye her hair blue and learn to play electric bass. But when she's abruptly fired from the city's hottest restaurant, and her ex-boyfriend, Gaston, announces he's getting married to a woman he's only recently met, Kate feels life's opportunities slipping away. Suddenly she's convinced that Gaston may be her last chance at a happy walk down the aisle. So she cooks up a scheme so grand her ex will be eating out of her hands in no time...

It's the perfect recipe for happiness. Until some unexpected ingredients fall into the pot-including a man she'd rather be cooking for.

This book was an easy, fun romance. A great book for whenever you want a "light" read. I found this book very enjoyable.

Although the book had a good plot, I found it to be flat. The main character, Katie, wants to win back her ex who she instatnly tells the reader off the bat that she turned him down several times for marriage. The character implies that people want what they can't have, but as a reader, I didn't sense that she wanted this ex. I would have liked to believe that she wanted him back, so that the story made sense and would have been more interesting. The dialogue was one note. All the characters sounded the same. Even when they are described as different people, there was only one voice throughout the conversations. The food was interesting enough and definitely redeemed the book. I still want to read more from the author, because I think she could write better.

Cute book, quick read! Predicatable, but sometimes that is a good thing!
