Great book - beginning of a new action hero. Very similar to Lee Child and the Jack Reacher novels.

Florida mystery writer Randy Wayne White wrote this book as Randy Striker in 1981. It was one of a thriller series, also one of his first books, written during what he called a training period. He said that he wrote this book in nine days.

KEY WEST CONNECTION by Randy Wayne White: Ex-Navy SEAL Dusky MacMorgan will need all his military skills when a psychotic pack of drug runners turns the the Gulf stream waters red with the blood of his beloved family. His new life as a fisherman is shattered but soon he is tracking the pack responsible right into the island fortress of a corrupt U.S. Senator. But even that fortress in vulnerable to a one-man hit-squad with MacMorgan’s expertise and arsenal. Originally published in 1981 under the pen name of Randy Striker. Hope they have some more stashed away.

Early novel of Randy Wayne White's. Not the Doc Ford series, but just as good!

Jeanne M. (I got this book based of the name and was not sure what to expect. I don't like things that are too suspensful and this book had me on my seat but not too much. I enjoyed the book and the main character was captivating. A few twist in turns. I liked it because it was light action and not too intense.
Written before his Doc Ford Novels. The author as he "learned the trade"
