Book Description:
This house has a terrifying history...
Once upon a time, a group of student radicals found a leader, and followed him beyond all reason. Years before that, in the same house, a prophet was visited by an angel, and followed it to a horrible end.
Now, history is repeating itself. Peter Coulter ignored the strange rumors about the house-until things started changing. His sister, once outgoing and popular, is now secretive and self-destructive. His father is possessed by a sudden calling from God.And all of them have seen the long-haired stranger in the woods. The one who wants them to do such shameful things, and who beckons them too, to follow him.

Great scary book--couldn't put it down! A professor moves his family to a sight where a ghost that was a 1970's radical changes their lives.

Not your usual haunted house or ghost story. high-paced and very sad and creepy. I loved it and read it in one sitting!!

Some books take a few pages or chapters before they "hook" you. Not this book, it caught me at the very beginning. It held my interest all through the book with no dull moments.
I would not reccomend this book for young readers. It does contain sex, drugs and profanity.

I am an avid Dean Koontz and Bently Little reader and am used to scary unexplained happinings. I was very dissapointed in this book: the lead up and parts of the story line were good but the ending was such a let down that the good parts did not make up for it. This may be a good book for a person just getting into scary books and new to the genre but not for the horror fans.

A ghost story that jumps from decade to decade. Not too scary. Some sexual content and violence.

Good reading, characters are not confused. A lot of history about religious beliefs. Worth reading.

NOW HISTORY IS REPEATING ITSELF...
Peter Coulter ignored the strange rumors about the house-until things started changing. His sister, Ginny, once outgoing and popular, is now secretive and self destructive. Peter's nightmares have become so vivid, so REAL. His father is possessed by a sudden calling from God. And all of them have seen the long haired stranger in the woods.
