I really do like this series. The Morganville world is becoming more nuanced and interesting. I like all of the characters, good and not so good. Claire, who was a bit of a goody goody early in the series, is now getting tough. Rachel Caine cannot write, unfortunately, without ending in a cliffhanger, and not just a set up for the next book, but a didn't resolve anything, tune in next episode, cliffhanger. Expect it going in and enjoy it, but don't try to read these out of order.

This series just keeps getting better and better!!

Lord of Misrule was a filler book, IMO. Until the very end, (which was a cliff-hanger, of course) nothing much was really going on. There's a battle for control of Morganville going on between Amelie and her father, Bishop. The gang is doing what they can to help Amelie. That's about it really.

LORD OF MISRULE is the 5th book in the very popular THE MORGANVILLE VAMPIRES series. While vampire books are flooding the market, this series stands out because of its differences. The vampires in the series are not friendly, they are out for your blood and only something benefiting them will stop them from drinking. Suspense and horror alongside of friendship and romance make this series perfect and unforgettable.
