Philip Mercer is fast becoming one of my favorite heroes in fiction. He ranks up there with Cussler's Dirk Pitt and others. He is a geologist by profession, but adventurer by choice. This outing ,a spy sattelite named Medusa has burned on re-entry,but not before it's sensors revealed a secret buried deep in the earth for thousands of years. A priceless discovery that some would die to find and kill to possess....

I loved the previous two Philip Mercer books but this one just seemed to drag. I will continue to read the series as I like the main characters and hubby promised me the next book is much better.
