Sweet Nothings (Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan, No 3) Author:Catherine Anderson
Book Description:
Molly Wells is keeping a lot of secrets. Such as why she's stolen her ex-husband's expensive stallion, Sonora Sunset, and driven him hundreds of miles across Oregon to rancher Jake Coulter, a known horse whisperer. And why she arrives with no job, no money, and a fear of her ex-husband that still threatens to rule her life. Molly is willing to risk everything to save Sonora Sunset, little realizing that she needs to save herself as well...or that Jake is the one man whose every heartfelt whisper has the power to meet her secret needs...By making a place for Molly on his ranch, Jake suspects he may be harboring a thief. But there's something about this courageous yet vulnerable woman that tugs on his heartstrings. He yearns to shower her with the greatest gifts he has to give--his home, his heart, and his life to share. But until she's strong enough to accept them, all he can offer her is the patience to win her slowly, the strength to fight her enemies, and the promise to love her forever.

Yummy story of pleasingly plump heiress getting out from a nasty, psychologically destructive marriage when she is driven to rescue an equine thouroughbred also badly mistreated by her nightmare husband.

I think Catherine Anderson is a wonderful romance author as she doesn't make it sappy or predictable as to how the story line will go. There are challenges in each of her stories and it makes you want to hurry and finish the book to see what's going to happen. An awesome book!

Out of work, out of luck, and almost out of money, Molly Sterling Wells shows up at Jake Coulter's ranch, the Lazy J, with Sonora Sunset, a beautiful horse who has been so badly beaten he may even be beyond Jake's talents as a horse whisperer. Jake intuitively knows there is more to Molly's story, but he agrees to help if Molly will stay on as the ranch's new cook and housekeeper. Little by little, Molly and Sonora Sunset find peace and security at the Lazy J until the day Molly's past catches up with her. Anderson continues to demonstrate a gift for creating richly emotional, deeply satisfying romances with her newest tale, which features Jake Coulter, the older brother of Emily in Phantom Waltz, as its hero. As the book's psychologically bruised and emotionally battered heroine, Molly is an all-too-realistic combination of vulnerability and strength, and her issues of self-esteem and self-image are deftly handled. Pure reading magic!

Although I really enjoyed this book, the hero of the story was a little too nice and perfect. Fast read.

Great escape beach read sort of book. Not too heavy. Just lets you escape reality for awhile.
