Fascinating character in Max Freeman. And living in FL, many of the sights King refers to are places I know. Great story and an even more fascinating series!

Good read-about Max Freeman who is a ex-cop who kills a 12 year old in a shoot out and retires to the Florida everglades. In this story he finds a child's corpse and becomes the suspect and then a helper to solving the mystery.
