Great twisted plot. Hard to figure out who the real bad guys are in this one.

Judge Whit Mosely leaves his small town to search for his mother who abandoned her family 30 years before. He does it for a good reason but ends up paying an awful price. Exciting but I liked his first book a bit better (A Kiss Gone Bad).

Whit's attempts to track down the mother who abandoned him, lead to bloody and unforeseen circumstances. This is the third in the series, and is the darkest and most emotional yet. If you like suspenseful mystery thrillers, this one's for you.

Jeff Abbott is an interesting author. A little more suspenseful than I like, but very innovative. I've enjoyed some of his other books more than this one as they weren't quite so suspenseful or raw. But I know several who really liked this book, too.
