Book Description:
She chose green and blue for the colors of Elm Creek Manor. She chose blue for truth and green for new beginnings....She pieced a border of pinwheel blocks -- pinwheels for her windblown life, which with faith and perseverance she tried to stitch into order. The pattern was a four patch, a square divided into four smaller squares, which were in turn divided into two equal triangles, one light, one dark, like the darkness of the past...and the light hope of the future.

A round robin quilt is created by sewing concentric patchwork or appliqué borders to a central block as it is passed around a circle of friends. We rejoin the Elm Creek Quilters as they embark on just such a project, intended as a gift to their beloved Sylvia. But for each member of the circle, the threads of happiness begin to unravel.

As each woman adds a border to the central block, she contributes her story to the ongoing history of Elm Creek Manor. Resplendent in green, blue, and gold, the quilt serves as a symbol of the complex, lasting ties that unify mothers and daughters, sisters and friends. As they stitch together the sometimes harmonious, often discordant scraps of their crazy-quilt lives, the Elm Creek Quilters learn that friendship is a most precious gift, and that even in the darkest of times, love illuminates the way home.

Terrific book two in a series. She does a smooth job of updating those who have not read book one without boring those who have. Looking forward to receiving the next one.

This book had a slow start for me. I didn't think I would like it but by the end I was captivated and did cry a few tears in the last chapter. If you've read the others in this series, don't miss this one.

I stumbled into the Elm Creek Quilter series last fall and love them! I toy with the idea of quilting and the stories have the love of quilting woven in them. Round Robin is the second of the series and every bit as enjoyable as the first. Even my neighbor who does not quilt or sew enjoyed the books.

the second in the elm creek quilters series. as with the first, i'm a bit disapointed that the characters don't seem to grow emotionally fromtheir experiences. big "problems" are presented, but the resolutions just seem to be glossed over. not sure if i'm willing the pursue any more in the series.

A book quilters would enjoy, but I also enjoyed the story and I don't quilt. It is a light read. This book is the second in a series but you can follow the story line even if you didn't read the first one.

This is another in the series by Jennifer Chiaverini. Each is a complete story, but they have some of the same characters. Very good story & if you enjoy quilting, you will like it even more!

So many stories interwoven in this novel. It was a great read. Chiaverini gets her characters right on as I know people just like in the book.

A group of quilters held together by their love of needlework find that they can deal with truth and crisis together as they make their crazy=quilt. Warm, loveable characters weave us into their lives.
