Book Description:
From London to New York, Emily Barr’s feisty new heroine charms both sides of the Atlantic.

Evie Silver appears to have it all. A semi-celebrity in the British tabloids, she’s known as much for her fame as a "lite" classical musician as for her own fabulous sense of style. But this self-made diva is dissatisfied with her stale, safe marriage to her college sweetheart and her artistically shallow career. An extended trip to New York seems just the thing, but Evie’s problems in London make the transatlantic journey with her: the media demands on an emerging pop starlet; the increasing threats of a determined stalker; and a long kept secret that could ruin her image and all of the relationships she holds dear.

Like the protagonist, a fairly shallow book. Of the three Barr novels I have read, this is the least enjoyable. It's mostly an amaglamatiof of Backpack and Baggage - even to the twists. But it is a fast read. I just wishthe protagonist was more .... interesting

I usually don't like British chick lit, but I really liked this book. I even stayed up past my bedtime to finish it!

A good beach read, went through it fast, but I didn't like it as much as Baggage. Good alternative to your typical chick lit though, since there are some elements of suspense to it, and Barr's books aren't just about women trying move up the corporate ladder and find/please their men.

Emily Barr's feisty new heroine charms both sides of the Atlantic while facing the demons from her past. A good read.

I enjoyed this book about a drama queen who learned a few lessons along her way.
