Book Description:
Welcome to Motor City. Detroit has been taken over by goblins and become a city-state run by an evil warlord who has ambitions of world domination. Police have failed to apprehend him. Left to thwart him and save the human world are two faerie agents provocateur; the powerful death fey, Jack Frost, and the elusive siren fey, Io Cyphre.

---------------------

From the publisher:
Evil forces are on the rise, and Io is part of a secret association dedicated to stopping them. The only solution to make sure the world remains safe is to travel to the mystical, underground Wildside, rendezvous with Jack Frost and uncover the plot. The quest will force Io through labyrinths of vice; challenge every aspect of her incomplete magical training. And if enemies aren't enough, her ally will imperil her heart. Jack Frost is much more than a simple sorcerer: He rules the realms of love and death. Yet in Jack's hands, a little death can be a very, very good thing.

Much of the action in Jackson's (The Selkie) paranormal romance takes place in a city that seems just like present-day Detroit, with one difference: this Motor City is home to an underground nightmare city populated by refugee goblins expelled from Europe. Though seemingly grateful for their new world haven, the foul-smelling goblins have in fact secretly replaced the nation's leading industrialists, including Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, with deodorized doubles-and the takeover trail may lead much higher. Pitted against mysterious goblin leader Horroban and his six-limbed, four-breasted rock star girlfriend are "siren fey" Io Cyphre, who's a H.U.G. (Humans Under Ground) magical agent, and charismatic cop Jonathan "Jack" Frost, who's half fairy. A deliciously playful tone, especially in the banter between Io and Jack, makes this a fun, light read.

Okay, these are few and far between. SCIENCE FICTION ROMANCE! I don't know why I love them, but I do. And you just don't find many around, so every one is worth a read. This one could be called ROMANTIC SCI-FI because you get plenty of romance. The Goblin King lives under Motor City and our heroine must travel there to fight the enemies of mankind. Jack Frost, her companion in the underworld is much more than just a sorcerer...he rules the realms of love and death. Fascinating!

Evil forces were on the rise and Io was part of a secret association dedicated to stopping them. Lutins were replacing society's bigwigs and no was safe. The only solutions was to infiltrate the menace, travel beneath the Motor City into the hordes thronging Goblin Town, rendezvous with Jack Frost and uncover the plot. The quest would lead to the monster band SEXXX and then to Horroban, the goblins' never-before-seen king. It would force Io through labyriths of vice; challenge every aspect of her incomplete training. And if enemies weren't enough, her ally would imperil ther heart, Arcane power was a matter of course in Goblin Town, but Jack Frost was much more than a simple sorcerer; He ruled the realms of love and death. Yet in Jack's hands, a little death could be a very, very good thing.

I enjoyed this book very much, and had a lot of fun reading it.
