Risk Kincaid was finding out that the life of a pro baseball player wasn't all it was cracked up to be. The fame, the fortune, the fans--what good were they when he kept striking out with the one woman who really mattered to him? Jacy Grayson was sassy and spirited, but she only saw him as her rebound lover--the man who picked up the pieces when her heart was broken. Yet Risk had never stepped down from the plate before, and he certainly wasn't going to start now. The bases were loaded--all Risk needed to do was show her that the diamond he had in mind wasn't found on a baseball field.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm not a baseball fan, but the author has a way of keeping the storyline going without boring you with baseball. This was a sassy and fun book that followed the blossoming relationships of three couples, including Jacy and Risk. I enjoyed the relationship between Stevie and Zen even more. Stevie was a very relatable character.

Overall a fun read, but the author is obviously not too much of a baseball fan. The many errors in the baseball parts were quite annoying.

If you like vapid, baseball reads where the sex is all wham-bam-thank-you ma'am, this is the book for you. If not, try The Catch. Much better character development.

The author didn't even bother to get the rules of the game right; in the first 4 pages, she claimed the visiting team had a walk-off homerun to win the World Series. I actually returned this book to the store as unreadable. That is a first for me.

1st in series.
I loved that there were more than 2 'main' characters. Very well written. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read the others in the series.

Steamy and entertaining romance novel.

This book had two romantic stories wraped into one. I think the author could have almost written two books in order to do each romantic storyline justice. Overall it was a good read!

The first in a series called "Boys of Summer." Funny and very sweet with great secondary characters who will be getting their own stories in the future according to the author's website.
