Her books are so enjoyable...this is another one.
Qwill is getting ready with the citizens of Pickax to celebrate their Scottish heritage with bagpipe skirling and tossing the caber. But there are rumors when a visiting jewelry dealer is found dead. His assistant is missing and the winner of the caber-tossing contest disappears as well.

Another good Lillian Jackson Braun cat mystery.
I have really enjoyed the CAT WHO series. It isn't exactly realistic, but I enjoy the quirkiness of the characters and the continuity from book to book. In this book, readers learn a little more about Qwilleran's Scottish background, as he and his extroadinary cat solve yet another local murder. (In such a small town, it's amazing there are any people left!)
