this book is a second book in a set and the Straw man was very gripping and in this one you will not be disappointed that you oreded it its fast past, gripping and scarry enough cause it could be real in our world today. a must read for all who enjoy adren. rushes and great fast paced reading.

Excellent sequel to the first book in the series "The Straw Men". The action is violent and brutal and sprinkled liberally throughout, and when there is no action the author manages to entertain you with insightful, sometimes humorous and somewhat jaded social commentary of the primary characters. A great read from a great author.

If you liked The Straw Men you will like this book too! The Upright Man is a serial killer with a hideous plan and Ward Hopkins (the main character) understands all the horror ahead. He knows what is goiing to happen next...Michael Marshall is a great writer.

Stephen King said, "A Masterpiece...Brilliantly Written and Scary as Hell." I agree.
This is a sequel to "The Straw Man"
Ward returns, and Ward is afraid. He has seen something dreadful in the High Plains of the Columbia River and it's sent him fleeing across country, forever running. In his wake one by one people are dying. No one can see the connection except Ward.
He has a secret. It's in his past and in the mystery of the Upright Man. No wonder Ward is afraid....He knows what is going to happen next.
